As we reported at the start of the week,Morgan Freeman step-granddaughter was brutally stabbed to death in New york on Sunday.
Police have now revealed that the man who killed E’Dena Hines, 33, her boyfriend, Lamar Davenport, was attempting to perform an exorcism in a drug-induced psychosis.
According to the New York post,Davenport was heard to shout.
“Get out, devils! I cast you out, devils! In the name of Jesus Christ, I cast you out!
Officials say she was stabbed around 16 times, and when police got there they said Davenport ‘was still making a stabbing motion with his arm, but he had nothing in his fist — the knife was jutting out of her chest’.
Since his arrest, Davenport has undergone a psychiatric evaluation at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and charged with second degree murder.
