Presidential aide threatens police to release trickster

Information reaching FaceofMalawi indicates that Presidential aide on religious affairs Timothy Khoviwa on Wednesday stormed the Police in Lilongwe to have his friend released from Police cell unconditionally.

Lilongwe Police spokesperson Kingsley Dandaula confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to information at hand, Japhet Khungwa, a friend to Khoviwa was arrested recently for allegedly obtaining MK3 million from a businesswoman in Blantyre by trick.

After the arrest, the suspect called for Khoviwa to use his powers to have him released from cell but police objected the move.

While confirmed to have to travelled to the police station, Khoviwa denied the reports that he wanted to use his powers to have his friend released from jail.

Khoviwa also denied allegations that he threatened the police officers.
