President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika will on Thursday afternoon27th October 2016, address a public rally at Mchinji Boma.
The rally comes barely hours after launching the National Identity Cards project at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital Lilongwe.
Presidential Press Officer Mgeme Kalilani confirmed of the development in a statement released on Wednesday, saying Mutharika arrive at the venue at around 15:00 hours.
Mutharika will take advantage of this rally to campaign for a Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) candidate in the forthcoming by-elections in Mchinji West Constituency.
Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) will hold by-elections in Mchinji and other four wards in Malawi on November 2, 2016.
