Former President Joyce Banda today met about 16 political parties, not represented in Parliament, and the Public Affairs Committee (PAC) at Malawi Sun Hotel in Blantyre.
The meeting which was not open to the press was chaired by former vice president Cassim Chilumpha of the Assembly for Development and Democracy.
Some of the notable faces include Mark Katsonga-Phiri of PPM, Geroge Nnesa of Mafunde and Newton Kambala of United Transformation Party.
Banda is contemplating on forming an alliance with small political parties to dish out President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika in the forthcoming 2019 tripartite election.
