MEC Employees not Yet Paid

Some Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) employees who worked fro the past elections have complained that they have no yet paid, Faceofmalawi can reveal.

Speaking under the condition of anonymity, one of the workers confirmed the development saying they haven’t been paid their allowances up to date describing the development as worrying.

The source expressed his disappointment with the response they are been given by some MEC officials through the district elections officer that they will get paid once the elections case ends.

Commenting on the matter MEC spokesperson Sangwani Mwafulirwa refused the claim arguing that MEC paid all its employees.
