150 Malawians deported from South Africa

Information reaching Faceofmalawi indicates that 150 Malawians deported from South Africa have arrived in the country through Kamuzu International Airport.

The plane carrying the 150 Malawians landed at KIA at around 9am.

Deputy Immigration Officer at KIA Jeffrey Malepula confirmed of the development, saying most of the deported Malawians are men from Mangochi and Machinga.

He said the deported Malawians were detained in South Africa for not having proper documents and they have been in police cell for over 5 months.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that more Malawians, especially those staying illegally in the RSA are coming.
