Friends of Eric Mabedi, Higger Mkandawire confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS), saying Mabedi is yet to leave the country.

Mkandawire expressed his sadness, saying the delay may have an effect on Mabedi’s life.

“Since we have not received any word suggesting the contrary from the initial arrangement, we are sticking with the commitment they made. As a group we are patiently waiting and we remain grateful to the government for its intervention,” said Mkandawire.

When contacted for comment Malango said government is waiting for a report from India on the matter.
