Angry Mob Set Ablaze Jenda Police, Chisomo Lodge for Hiding Criminals

Angry mob in Mzimba district has set ablaze Jenda police post and Chisomo Lodge for alleging that the two were hiding criminals who have been disturbing peace at Jenda trading center in the district.

An eye witness Molton Beza said that members of the community were irate having learnt through a church confession by one of the alleged criminals that his accomplices were putting up at the lodge.

Following his arrest, the people took to police demanding the release of the accused before they torched the post and the lodge in protest.

In order to prevent mob justice police delayed and this didn’t go well with the people who didn’t hesitate but to set it ablaze.

Other reports are indicating that the said suspects are blood suckers following their arrest angry people demanded for their release.

Meanwhile, police are yet to comment on the matter.
