Chairperson for the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 Dr. John Phuka has called
on people to also focus on other diseases that have been there.
Dr. Phuka said this in a press statement of covd-19 daily updates.
“As we are fighting the Covid-19 pandemic in our country, our focus should also be on other disease priorities that continue affecting us such as Malaria, TB, HIV, none communicable diseases (high Blood Pressure, diabetes), Sexual and reproductive immunization service,” said Phuka.
According to Phuka essential services are still provided in all health facilities and designated outreach clinics.
He also encouraged the public to seek health care early as whenever necessary and also Utilize Chipatala Cha pa Phone platform by dialing 54747.
