Court sets free Mzomera Ngwira

The Senior Resident Magistrate Court in Mzuzu has ruled that Christopher Mzomera Ngwira has no case to answer.

Ngwira and others were facing charges in relation to disruption of a rally by MCP president Lazarus Chakwera and other leaders.

The court has ruled that the State has failed to prove the matter.

Ngwira, former Democratic Progressive party (DPP) Regional Governor for the North is currently serving a four- year jail term at Mzimba Prison after he was found guilty of mismanaging local development funds, has already arrived at the court.
