Former Super League of Malawi (SULOM) president Innocent Botomani has died, SULOM’s president Tiya Somba Banda discloses in a statement.
Banda described Botomani as a man dedicated to his duty.
“It is with deepest sorrow that I regret to announce the death of the past immediate president of SULOM, Mr Innocent Botomani,” Banda said in a statement.
Botomani was admitted at Kamuzu Central Hospital where he breathed his last.
His profile indicates that he previously served as Blue Eagles Football Club Executive Member before rising to the helm of SULOM.
Botomani also worked for Malawi Police as Director of Finance and Administration.
