The body of female musician Florida Chinyumba, popularly known as Flo Dee in the entertainment industry was laid to rest on Saturday at her home district in Mangochi.
‘Veke Phete’ hit maker died on Thursday after short illness, according to the statement released by the family made available to faceofmalawi.
People from all walks of life including popular artists in the music circle gathered at Namwela in Mangochi to pay their last respect.
The family of the deceased has since hailed Malawians for the support rendered to them.
“Finally Flo Dee laid to rest today in Mangochi.
“Thank you family for being with us ,” reads in part the statement.
He added: “The Management of Safa Musique and the whole family appreciate the love.”
Flo Dee died at the age of 27.
