Man killed in road accident in Neno

One person is reported dead after a Tipper ferrying construction sand to the Job for Youth site overturned at a place near Ligowe trade centre in Neno.

The accident happened on Tuesday, according to Neno Integrated Youth Centre manager, Hope Mwafulirwa.

Mwafulirwa identified the deceased as Chimwemwe Banda who hailed from Mzimba district.

Police are yet to comment on the matter.

Recently there has been a sharp rise in fatal road accident with the latest being one that happened in Chitipa where over 9 people lost their lives.
