Paramount Chief Chikulamayembe’s installation set for April 30, Chakwera to attend

Date:

Information sourced by faceofmalawi indicates that the installation of Paramount Chief Chikulamayembe the 13th is slated for April 30, 2022 in Bolero, Rumphi.

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is scheduled to grace the installation ceremony, according to inside sources.

“We are welcoming the H.E on 26th April and will have to fulfil some Government engagements same day afternoon meeting Chiefs and Ministers of Mzimba District then Party officials.

“He will inspect Crops in Rumphi Mzimba Chitipa and Karonga along with Development Rallies and preside over Paramount Chikulamayembe’s Installation on 30th April 2022,” reads part of the communiqué seen by this publication.

Chakwera approved the appointment of Joseph Bongololo Gondwe as the 13th Paramount Chief Chikulamayembe last month.

But Mtima Gondwe’s camp is against the appointment.

The grouping has since threatened to hold a parallel ceremony on the same day.
