CHANCO students on rampage, burning tyres all over

Students at the University of Malawi (UNIMA), formerly known as Chancellor College in Zomba have started riots, setting fire on the road leading to the campus.

The development comes barely few hours after the management announced the immediate closure of the school due to the ongoing stand-off over the academic calendar.

According to information at hand, the students are against the management decision to shut down the university.

Meanwhile, some students have started leaving the campus ahead of the midday deadline.
