The National Planning Commission (NPC) has presented a certificate to President Lazarus Chakwera, recognising him as overall champion for his continued efforts to promote Malawi 2063.
NPC Board chairperson Richard Mkandawire said Chakwera has demonstrated remarkable passion towards Malawi 2063, by among others aligning the national budget to pillars and enablers of the vision, continuing projects that were introduced by his predecessor and ensuring that political party manifestos speak of the pillars and enablers of the blue print.
Speaking after receiving the certificate, Chakwera said the recognition has encouraged him to do more in pushing for the implementation of the vision.
The National Planning Commission is committed to guide and champion the development of effective policies by ensuring that they are mainstreamed and aligned.
