Two criminals steal a vehicle after poisoning driver

Police in Lilongwe are hunting for two suspected criminals who have robbed a taxi driver of his vehicle, Daihatsu Mira, registration number CA 6472 yesterday at Bypass road in the City after administering poisoned food to him.

The victim (driver) who is identified as Thokozani Micah was approached by two individuals who hired him to go to Bypass road at around 7 pm.

On their way, it is said that the suspects shared the driver food which he ate while driving, the driver became very weak that he could not manage to continue driving.

Then the suspects drove the vehicle towards Mlambe Motel, along the Lilongwe Bypass Road where they dumped the driver, and sped away.

The victim was rushed to Kamuzu Central Hospital where he is currently receiving medical attention.
