First Lady Madame Monica Chakwera will on 3 December attend the crowning of Miss Malawi 2022 Grand Finale where one contestant among the 10 beauty pageants will be crowned.
Tina Kendricks, Spokesperson of Alpha Arts has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Kendricks, this will help the contestants to boost their steps to the crown.
“We are very grateful to have the first lady as the guest of honor on 3rd December 2022 at Bingu International Convention Center (BICC) in Lilongwe”, said Kendricks.
Almost 70 ladies auditioned for 2022 Miss Malawi Pageant across the three regions and so far 12 ladies have managed to reach the final stage.
The lucky winner of this year’s Miss Malawi 2022 will go out with K2 million, K1.2 million to the first Princess and K1 million to the runner-up. In addition to that, the winner (Queen) will be given another K1 million starter-pack for her to kick-start a charity initiative of her choice.
The Miss Malawi beauty pageant was last held in 2018 and the winner was Tionge Munthali.
