Malawians flooding to Mozambique for greener pastures

Dedza District Social Welfare Office has said Malawians are being forced to go to Mozambique and work in farms due to poverty and hunger they are facing in the country.

According to District Social Welfare Officer Edward Chisanga, they are still keeping 81 Malawians who were deported by the Mozambican government yesterday.

According to Chisanga, they are currently looking for food and basic needs to give the deportees.

“If we send 81 Malawians back to their respective places, they might go back to Mozambique because of lack of food and other basic needs.” Said Chisanga

He has therefore  asked well-wishers to help the 81 Malawians.
