The Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) has established the Stabilization Fund which aims at compensating or calming down the victims of financial investments.
Lately, there have been incidences where shareholders have lost money after investing in licensed companies that have failed to make returns from their investment.
According to reports, three weeks ago the High Court ordered the closing of Alliance Capital Limited (ACL) where people and institutions lose billions of their money.
The fund, which has been operationalized last week has committee members consisting of different sectors in the financial sector.
