Aleke Banda’s Son, Thoko Announces Candidacy for 2025 Presidential Elections, Promises to Wipe Out Corruption

Thoko Banda, son to former politician and statesman Aleke Banda has announced that he will vie for the presidency in the 2025 general elections.

Banda has made the announcement at a press briefing currently underway in Lilongwe.

Banda has urged for a purge of recycled politicians in Malawi’s political arena to tackle corruption and drive real change.

Banda believes that the current political landscape is dominated by corrupt individuals who prioritize personal gain over the country’s development.

He suggests that politicians, civil society leaders, and their associates should be prohibited from engaging in business activities to ensure a fair business environment.
