Investigative journalist Gregory Gondwe who is in hiding from authorities has described as lies claims by Minister of Information Moses Kunkuyu that he flew out of the country through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in Lilongwe.
Said Gondwe: “Contrary to the ministers claims, I did not leave Malawi through KIA, which is a complete falsehood.
Regarding the assertion that I am free to return, I question the government’s vested interest in my return.”
Meanwhile, Gondwe says his exchanges with the Army Commander have been “unsettling, laced with veiled threats and bent at revealing location.
