Kabaza Operator Kills Himself in Lilongwe

A motorcycle-taxi (kabaza) operator has hanged himself in his rented house at Mwenera location in Lilongwe.
He is identified as Chisomo Mbowani, aged 27.
Facts are that the deceased was operating kabaza at Area 47, Bwandiro Trading center.
As usual, on April 22 at around 19:00 hours he reported for business and arrived back home at around 05:00 hours of April 23.
Upon his arrival, his wife was surprised to see that he had stains of blood on his clothes and, after questioning him, he explained that he was involved in a fight at Bwandilo.
He took off the bloodstained clothes and put on another before taking breakfast together with his wife.
Mbowani then gave his wife money to buy relish at the market.
When coming back she found the door locked from inside and forced it open. She discovered her husband hanging from the roof on a cloth belt.
The matter was reported to Lingadzi Police and Lingadzi detective officers and a medical officer from Area 18 Health Centre visited the scene and confirmed the incident.
The medical officer examined the body and proved that death was due to hypoxia secondary to hanging.
The dead body was taken to Kamuzu Central Hospital Mortuary.
Chisomo Mbowani hailed from Chande village in Traditional Authority Malengachanzi in Nkhotakota.
