Ekhaya Coach Chatama Takes Leave Amid Poor Start to Season

Ekhaya FC has confirmed that head coach Enos Chatama has requested leave from the team, sparking questions amid the ongoing FDH Bank Premiership season.
The club’s Chief Executive Officer Thando Mhango confirmed the development but declined to give detailed reasons behind the coach’s decision to step aside at such a crucial stage of the campaign.
Chatama also refused to comment further on the matter.
The development follows a difficult start for Ekhaya, who have failed to register a win in their opening two matches—losing 2-1 to Blue Eagles FC and drawing 1-1 against Red Lions FC.
Ekhaya are scheduled to face CIVO United FC in Lilongwe this weekend.
Despite being one of the most active teams in the transfer market, signing more players than any other club this season, Ekhaya are yet to translate their investment into results on the pitch.
