Ntcheu Man Arrested for Selling Medicines Without Licence

Police in Ntcheu have arrested 47-year-old Gidson Gogoda for allegedly possessing and selling medicines without the required licence.
Ntcheu Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Beatrice Mlauzi said the arrest followed a tip-off from well-wishers who alerted police at Sharpvale.
Police subsequently went to a local market, where Gogoda was allegedly found selling the medicines. However, he reportedly failed to produce a licence authorising him to sell medical drugs.
During a search, police allegedly found various medicines in his bag, including Contrimoxazole for children, LA 204, Lofnax, Buffen 426, Panado 700 and Fragile 430, among others.
Gogoda hails from Saiti Village, under Senior Chief Ganya in Ntcheu District.
