Court adjourns kidnapping case of an 8 year old boy in Limbe

A case involving three people who kidnapped an 8 year old boy in Limbe has been adjourned to November 11, 2022.

On September 8, 2022 police arrested the three David Nkhata, Stephano Damison and Isaac Bokosi after they kidnapped the child in Kanjedza.

Appearing in court today, only two of the suspects as Bokosi who is said to be out of bail skipped it and escaped from his place of residence.

Nkhata is being represented by lawyers from Legal Aid Bureau.

The State said Nkhata is also answering cases of theft and malicious damage before the Blantyre Magistrates Court and is on remand for cases.

Senior Resident Magistrate Bysom Masonga adjourned the case to give time to the State to present disclosures to the lawyer for one of the accused.
