Court slaps MALGA on the face on DCs transfers

The High Court in Blantyre has ruled in favour of the State in a case in which the Malawi Local Government Association (MALGA) was challenging the redeployment of district commissioners.

Judge Jean Kaira made the ruling on Monday at the High Court in Blantyre.

According to Kaira, MALGA is not the right party to represent the district commissioners in the case hence dismissing the case.

This means the government will continue with the redeployment of the district commissioners
