Navicha responds to Chakwera’s SONA amid DPP’s boycott of Parliamentary proceedings

The Democratic Progressive Party’s (DPP) anointed Leader of Opposition Mary Navicha is responding to the State of Nation Address (SONA) from outside Parliament.

The 25 DPP MPs that have boycotted Parliament in protest are now gathered outside Parliament as Navicha is delivering DPP’s response to Sona which is being broadcast live on Zodiak Television.

Navicha trashes the Tonse government on economy saying, “we have leadership which is incompetent and indecisive”.

She said government needs to take stock of the death of micro and macro-enterprises, food security.

“We have to take stock of the number of children who are withdrawing from schools because their parents can’t afford school fees which is all happening under this so-called servant leadership. We also have to take stock of the muzzling of the voice of reason of the civil society. We are taking stock of a government that is sending its youth to Israel to work in farms at the time the government is promoting mega farms…”
