Opposition political leaders shun Umodzi Day in Mzuzu

Opposition Political Parties have shunned this year’s Umodzi Day which is underway in Mzuzu and President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

Umodzi Day was introduced as a way of ensuring unity amongst Malawians and celebrating cultural diversity.

National Development Party (NDP) President Frank Tumpale Mwenifumbo is the only political leader from opposition attending the event.

Some of the prominent figures who attended the Umodzi Day are religious leaders and chiefs.
