Petroleum Importers Limited (PIL) Denies Reports of Oil Shortage Letter

Petroleum Importers Limited (PIL) has dismissed claims that it has written to the Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) regarding an oil shortage in the country.
In a statement, PIL refuted the authenticity of a letter circulating on social media, which alleges that Malawi is facing an oil shortage due to challenges within the association. PIL clarified that it has no knowledge of any such shortage.
The company further stated that it has referred the matter to the relevant authorities for investigation and action against those responsible for spreading false information.
