MUBAS Mourns the Passing of Student Christian Tepetheya

The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) has confirmed the death of Christian Tepetheya, a student pursuing ABMA Level 6 in Computing and Information Systems at its Blantyre campus.
In a memo released by the Institution of Continuing Education and signed by Administrative Officer Gladness Kaduya, the university announced that Tepetheya passed away on 22nd June 2025 at Thyolo District Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment for meningitis.
A vigil is currently being held at Chitawira, near Chipiku Supermarket, and the burial is scheduled to take place on 24th June 2025 at HHI Cemetery in Blantyre.
“May his soul rest in eternal peace,” reads the official statement from MUBAS, as the university joins the family and friends in mourning the untimely loss.
