A new member of the Mibawa band, 21 year old Donia Khuma Phiri, has lost her life after the vehicle they were traveling in overturned in Mwanza.
Mibawa band was traveling to Mozambique on a series of shows and while in Mwanza, the vehicle they were traveling in had its back tyre burst forcing it to overturn.
Phiri had sustained serious injuries and had lost her life while in the course of taking her to the hospital.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that one member of the band is in the Intensive Care Unit from the same accident while others have been injured including journalist Sam Banda Jnr of The Daily Times.
