‘I thank You Your Excellency for Giving Me This Opportunity to Serve My Country at This Critical Juncture
Economic Planing Minister has resigned from his portfolio, citing his Monday’s arrest as a basis.
In a letter delivered to President Joyce Banda today, Gondwe said he cannot continue performing his duties due to the “prevailing circumstances”.
“I would like to thank you for giving me an opportunity to serve my country at this critical juncture. But with regard to the prevailing circumstances, I wish to tender my resignation letter,” wrote Gondwe.
