Blantyre residents are facing a water crisis for the next few days following the bursting of the main pipeline at Chileka pumping station.
The pipeline burst yesterday which meant the station in Chileka was no longer pumping water, Blantyre Water Board officials say.
The officials say they were working on the problem and that at least by today they would start pumping about half their normal production.
