Health personnel are on the lookout for the possibility of immigrants bringing in the Ebola virus into Malawi.

The virus has attacked some West African countries and the World Health Organization (WHO) is working towards containing the problem and preventing further spread.

Speaking to the media, Ministry of health spokesperson Henry Chimbali said the authorities have not yet got recommendations from the WHO on a possible threat to the country.

Chimbali says officers at the country’s entry points are on alert to avoid the contagious disease.
