JB appoints Beatrice Mwale MP as PP Women Director


Former President and founder of the People’s Party (PP) Dr. Joyce Banda has hired the services of Member of Parliament for Kasungu North Constituency, Beatrice Mwale as the Party’s national women’s director, replacing Clara Makungwa.

Makungwa together with other PP officials joined the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and they were welcomed in the Party on Sunday at Masintha ground in the capital Lilongwe by President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.

PP secretary general Ibrahim Matola confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Matola, Banda appointed Mwale in consultation with the acting president Dr. Uladi Mussa MP.

He said the appointment of Mwale is with immediate effect.
