Limbani Kalirani well known by his stage name “Tay Grin” has donated some funds to replace the blown off roof so that the pupils can go back to school at Malembe Primary School in Area 25 on 26 November, 2018.
“Access to Education is a right but that right is compromised when the learning environment is not conducive. After rains blew off the classrooms’ roof at Malembe Primary School in Area 25, I managed to go at the school and donate some funds” FaceOfMalawi quoted Grin.
Tay Grin came out of his shell to declare interest to contest as member of Parliament (MP) for the Lilongwe City Centre constituency on a Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) ticket few months ago.
The artist, son to DPP Die-Hard Jean Kalirani, initially appeared undecided about joining politics when reports first emerged about his intentions to run as MP in the May 21 Tripartite Elections.
