Piksy to Launch TV Talk Show

Urban musician Piksy has unveiled plans to launch his TV talk show called The Piksy Show.

The artist said the weekly talk show will be aired through his YouTube channel, his Instagram and Facebook pages and Five79 online TV page from next Monday.

Piksy said he is trying to find better ways of keeping in touch with his fans and entertaining them during the coronavirus pandemic period with live performances are suspended.

He said the show will feature content from stories shared by people he will be meeting.

“People have stories to share. Not just ordinary stories, but something people will always remember. They may be sad, funny or just outright strange. I have a couple of episodes already done and we are still shooting more,” said the Unamata hit maker.

Piksy has partnered with events management firm Five79 which is responsible for shooting of the series and airing as well as CCNB Media. The artist said he believes he has the potential that the industry possesses as long as one is able to generate content that appeals to the masses.

He said: “Almost everyone is trying to capture the online audience which continues to grow every day. I don’t want to remain behind and deprive my fans of some fun. There is so much more that I can offer in addition to music.”

The artist said there is a possibility the show may migrate to one of the local television stations in future.

In a separate interview, Five79 promotions director Wisdom Phanga said apart from featuring stories from people, the host will also share his own encounters in life as an individual and an artist.

“At the moment we are doing everything on our own as we are yet to identify sponsors. Our focus is to produce content which people will love. We are planning to expand and very soon we will make an announcement,” he said.
