The Mzuzu Resident Magistrate Court has adjourned to 2 o’clock this afternoon, a case in which Senior Chief Mtwalo is answering assault charges.
The case entered for plea this morning but Principal Resident magistrate Paul Chiotcha adjourned it following an objection that the accused person has found a lawyer, who needed to avail himself in court.
Senior Chief Mtwalo is being accused of physically assaulting a police officer, Inspector Thomas Chirwa who is Officer-In-charge for Mtwalo Police Unit.
The Chief spent a night in police cell.
