Ngomwa Enters Defence, Denies Rumors That He Was Planning Escape

Former MASM Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Ngomwa is testifying in his own defense in rape and defilement charges he is answering.

He has told the Chief Resident Magistrate’s Court in Blantyre that the moment he heard that police are looking for him ,he wanted to free the country to Zambia through Chitipa.

Ngomwa has furhter said that he rescinded the idea and handed himself to police with hope that the truth shall prevail in court.

He has refuted media reports that he was arrested at Zobue as he was fleeing the country.

Ngomwa was arrested for defiling his 14 year old niece.

Reports have indicated that Ngomwa was living with his sister ‘s 14 year-old daughter in his house and started sexually abusing her.
