Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that some workers at Blantyre City Council are staging a sit-in to force management to settle their two year running arrears.
One of the workers who have asked for anonymity said that they have stopped working as their previous grievances have not been addressed.
The source said failure by the management to pay them has affected their livelihoods and are questioning why there is no change until now.
They have since said they will continue with the sit-in until their arrears are paid.
