Former Chipolopolo goalkeeper Kennedy Mwene has denied rumours hovering on the social media claiming that he is a gay.

The former Zambian goalkeeper has been trending on the social media for posing like a female on photos several times.

Last week the social media went crazy sharing his photos with many suspecting that the former Zambian goalie is into same sex malpractice.

Reacting to the development Mwene denied refuted the claims.

“Firstly I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for the support you’ve given me, I have seen all the circulating pictures of me people thinking am gay or I joined gay team here in south Africa, it is really a disappoint and it is true that rumours travel faster than the truth and where there is no story a rumors can’t be spread, my country men and women am really sorry for everything and the people who started faking my picture, I created this “@Kennedy mweene official” so that I can have any opportunity to talk to everyone through social media because that where my trending is …….. It doesn’t mean when am out of my country I should disrespect my culture no and that will never happen.

“My country people, @FAZ and everyone who stood a chance to see my trending pictures of disrespecting my culture, unfortunately for the motto of one Zambia one national AND the peace I shall not go any further to question,” wrote Mwene.

Mwene made headlines in 2011 when he served Didier Drogba’s penalty at AFCON and Zambia emerged Champions.
