The fuel shortage has reached crisis levels in the commercial city, Blantyre as many service stations do not have supplies.

The situation has disrupted businesses and movement of motorists, with petrol being the most sought after commodity.

Faceofmalawi reporter visited Puma Filling Station in Namiwawa Township where he bumped into motorists scrambling the commodity.

Things went out of hand after rumours erupted that the fuel commodity available will not accommodate all.

It took the intervention for the law enforcers to control the situation.

It is reported that almost all filling stations have run out of the fuel.

Government is yet to comment on the matter.
