The Minister of Transport and Public Works, Jacob Hara has today asked the contractors who are working on Kenyatta, Mzimba Street and M1 Roads in Lilongwe Water board to accelerate the relocation of pipes to make sure the construction process is properly working.
Following his surprise visit to the construction area, the minister experienced poor management in the construction team that is leading to delaying of the work and he demanded time management to the workers.
The construction of Kenyatta and Mzimba street was launched on the August 31, 2021 by President Lazarus Chakwera who said Capital City, Lilongwe deserves better attention thus his administration’s commitment to upgrade Mzimba street and Kenyatta drive will connect Lilongwe old town and the City Center into a triple carriage way.
