Aspiring MP Alex Chimwala takes his 52nd birthday to underprivileged Children

Aspiring Member of Parliament for South Lunzu Constituency Alex Chimwala who is also member of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) on Monday, December 26, 2022 celebrated his 52nd birthday by sharing the little God blessed him with to l00 underprivileged Children.

Dressing as ‘Father Christmas’, Chimwala prepared lunch for the children and he also donated cloths and other assorted items like sweets and biscuits.

The birthday celebration reached the climax in the afternoon at Nkolokoti Ground where there was football and netball bonanza involving Nkolokoti Select and Njirika Select in the men’s category while in the girls Njirika Sisters rocked horns with Nkolokoti Sisters.

The bonanza saw Nkolokoti Select beating Njirika Select by 2-1 and collected MK200,000 while on the ladies category Nkolokoti Sisters emerged victorious after beating Njirika Sisters with 32 baskets to 1 basket.

Nkolokoti Sisters went away with Mk30,000.00.

Speaking in an interview with faceofmalawi, Chimwala urged Malawians to develop the heart of sharing with the needy.

“Today being my birthday, I thought it wise to share the little i have with underprivileged Children.

“My belief is that those of us who have been blessed with the little something should share. There is a lot of blessings in sharing. God blesses the hand that giveth than the one that  taketh,” said Chimwala.

He added: “Let me take this advantage of my special day today to encourage my fellow Christians to develop the heart of sharing with underprivileged people as Muslims do.

“Muslims invade the street to celebrate the birth of their Prophet and they also share the little they have with the needy while us Christians the story is different.”

On his part, one of the organizers of Chimwala’s party, Asabuni Phiri hailed Chimwala for the kind gesture of sharing with the needy.

He then urged other well-wishers to emulate Chimwala’s heart of sharing with the needy.
