Mchinji Police Uproot Half-Acre Cannabis Garden, Suspect at Large

In a recent operation, the police in Mchinji district, located on the Malawi-Mozambique border, have uprooted cannabis plants from a local farmer’s half-acre garden.

The suspect, identified as Yosefe Samson Dinya, aged 37, is currently at large, and the police have launched a manhunt to apprehend him.

According to Limbani Mpinganjira, the Mchinji Police spokesperson, the farmer had been growing cannabis in his backyard for some years.

The police acted on a tip-off and discovered the illicit crop in the village of Kapundu, in the area of Traditional Authority Dambe.
