Police in Thyolo have apprehended several guardians for allegedly assaulting a nurse at Thyolo District Hospital while she was on duty.
According to some hospital staff, the dispute arose from disagreements over the patient’s care.
Sergeant Rabecca Kashoti, the deputy police spokesperson for the district, confirmed that an unspecified number of guardians physically attacked the nurse, causing head injuries.
As of now, the nurse has not officially filed a complaint with the police.
The hospital administrator, Montfort Nkhoma, stated that they are currently collecting information on the incident and will issue a statement at a later time.
The altercation occurred following a disagreement last night.
