‘Be like an eagle’-JB urges girls

Former president Joyce Banda has challenged girls in the country to live a life of purpose to succeed in life.

She made the call yesterday at her residence at Domasi in Zomba when she symbolically presented a K25 million cheque for school fees to girls that are under the Joyce Banda Foundation bursary.

Banda stated that visionary life gives direction to people to make their goals and purpose become a reality.

“Once you understand your vision, your lives will become simpler and more meaningful to the society,” she said.

Banda further challenged the girls to be like the eagle which is characterised with powerful vision, fearless and tenacious to achieve its goals.

“Choose friends carefully. Don’t mix with anyone and anyhow because bad company corrupts good character,” she said.
