MBC Director General Aubrey Sumbuleta sent on forced leave

Information sourced by faceofmalawi indicates that Malawi Broadcasting Corporation Director General Aubrey Sumbuleta has been sent on an indefinite leave.

Minister of Information and Communication Technology Gospel Kazako confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Kazako, Sumbuleta’s forced leave follows a complaint lodged some staff members of the state controlled Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC).

It is alleged that Sumbuleta abused his office to sleep with some female workers at MBC.

Recently Sumbuleta was summoned by the Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC) over alleged sexual abuse.

Sumbuleta is also accused flouting tendencies at the parastatal.
