Twenty-six people have been arrested last night in Blantyre by the Police at the Carlsberg Street Party that marked an entry into the new year.
According to the Police, the twenty-six have been arrested in connection to various offences committed under the banner of celebrations.
The Carlsberg street party was held yesterday in the city of Blantyre as a way of celebrating entry into the new year. The event was spiced up by a competition of DJs and live music performances by Soldier Lucius Banda and Paul Banda.
The party has been slammed by other commentators as a way of promoting irresponsible drinking amongst teens and other young people as there were a number of them drunk and acting irresponsibly.
